Circle Storm
Paul Grogan

Ancient stone circles, old magic and Britain’s mysterious past. Two brothers get far more than they bargain for when they tamper with unpredictable, unknown forces.

The school holidays are a time for carefree days and larking around. But when James stumbles upon a decrepit, incomplete stone circle on the bleak Peak moorland he becomes obsessed with how it came about and what it stood for. What kind of people had built it and why?

James hatches a plan for he and Sam to spend their time putting back the missing stones. A good idea? Sam doesn’t think so. While James wants to enjoy the fame of having his discovery added to the walking map, Sam would simply prefer to enjoy the summer holidays like any normal fourteen year old. James is used to getting his own way, however, so the boys embark on the rebuilding of the stone circle so they can ‘discover’ this lost monument for inclusion on the Ordnance Survey map.

As the gaps in the stone circle slowly become filled, the boys experience a number of very strange and frightening phenomena. Furthermore, someone appears to be trying to contact them. And from a place beyond their imagining. Should this put them off finishing their project? Or should they go ahead, and risk unleashing unknown forces that have been trapped since early times?
